Northwest Indiana Firearm Training

Tatone Investigations LLC is now offering the Northwest Indiana community the opportunity to attend a Utah, Arizona, and Florida approved concealed firearm permit (CCW) training class. Those states issue permits to out of state residents which would ultimately allow an Indiana resident to carry a concealed firearm in 38 states. While Illinois is not yet allowing Indiana residents to apply for an Illinois permit, this class may provide up to 8 hours of the required 16 hour training class. Our instruction provides students with a real world perspective to carrying a concealed firearm while at the same time building a solid foundation for students to advance in their individual level of knowledge and skill.
Firearm Safety Class
This class generally lasts 2-3 hours and topics covered include firearm safety, firearm function and handling, and fundamentals of shooting a handgun.
This class is ideal for those who are new to firearms altogether or those who would like a refresher. This class also satisfies the firearm safety and handling requirements of a Utah/Arizona/Florida concealed firearm permit class when combined with additional training.

Concealed Carry Class
This class generally lasts 4-5 hours (which includes the safety class). While Indiana residents are not required to attend a class to obtain an Indiana handgun license, obtaining a Utah and/or Arizona/Florida permits allows a permit holder to carry a concealed firearm in several more states.
This class is ideal for both those who are new to concealed firearm carry or those who have an Indiana handgun permit and want to legally carry a firearm in additional states. Topics covered in class include safe practices for carry a concealed firearm, and moral, legal, and ethical considerations of carrying a firearm for self defense.

*Please note that while this class satisfies the training requirements to apply for the permits, you must apply to the respective state and pay any applicable licensing fees directly to the state. There are no live-fire requirements.
While in Nevada we had the privilege of providing the state required 8 hour class to hundreds of students. While Indiana does not require any classes to obtain a concealed firearm permit, we believe this class will be a benefit to anyone who wishes to carry a firearm for self-defense.

We also understand that schedules are difficult to coordinate and people have active lives. Since moving to our new office location, we have the ability to offer smaller and more frequent classes. If you don’t see a class listed that fits your schedule, please let us know of your interest and we can attempt to coordinate a class that fits your availability.
